Craving a taste of Italy, we set sail for Dubai’s newest beach restaurant– Cala Vista at Jumeirah Mina A’Salam! Whispers of its stunning Burj Al arab beach location and authentic Italian fare had been swirling around, and let me tell you, the hype was real. Stepping into Cala Vista felt like being transported to a cozy Italian square. Olive and lemon trees provided shade from the Dubai sun, while the open-air atmosphere instantly melted away our stress. But the true treasure? Snagging a table on the right side, practically nose-to-nose with the iconic Burj Al Arab. The view was simply jaw-dropping!
We ordered a variety of dishes, starting with the must-try fritto misto, a delightful explosion of flavors in every bite-sized piece of crispy seafood. For the main course, I savored the classic tortelloni, alla Norma, while my pizza-loving friend reveled in the giant, thin-crust orecchio di Elefante. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, authentic Italian flavors. And remember to save room for dessert! You simply can’t miss out on the tiramisu at Cala Vista. It’s a delicious finale to your Italian meal –layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone cheese. Trust us, you don’t want to miss it!
Our fantastic server patiently navigated us through the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring our every need was met. The restaurant also boasts a wonderful selection of fruity drinks, perfect for quenching your thirst under the Dubai sun. By the end, we were thoroughly impressed. Despite the luxurious setting and exceptional cuisine, a meal at Cala Vista is surprisingly affordable, costing around 200-300 dirhams per person.
