Bluewaters and Ain Dubai: A Once in a Lifetime Experience

Local Guide to Bluewater and Ain Dubai

Bluewaters Island is a new area in Dubai, located near Dubai Marina. This is a new project developed by Meraas that includes various attractions. Bluewaters is the perfect destination for family and friends to explore Dubai from a different viewpoint.

We looked at the must-see sites in Bluewaters to give you a better idea of the services available at this impressive engineering project. Firstly, we reviewed the magnificent Ain Dubai, the world’s most giant observation wheel; additionally, there are 29 retail, food, and beverage buildings where you can enjoy a delicious meal at one of their restaurants. We specifically chose Alici Restaurant Dubai, an Italian Seafood restaurant with a unique ambiance. This outdoor space is perfect during wintertime and has something for everyone’s ages!

Local Experience of Bluewaters

My friends and I decided to visit Dubai during wintertime as we wanted to experience something new in this fantastic weather and were looking for outdoor activities. However, as soon as we heard about Bluewaters Island, we knew we had to go there! First, we started our journey with a short trip from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, which took around 1 hour. Once we arrived, we were amazed at how many cafes and various shops were there. We went to Madame Tussauds, a wax museum and the first of its kind in the Middle East. Later on, after we ate lunch, we decided to ride Ain Dubai as it is the main attraction in Bluewaters. Besides that, the atmosphere was refreshing even just walking around, especially in this lovely weather, and it seemed like every spot was instagrammable! This place is a must to visit when you are in Dubai as a friend group, couple, or even family; you will not regret it believe me!

Ain Dubai: The World’s Biggest and Highest Observation Wheel

After the opening of the giant Ferris Wheel globally, Ain Dubai, located in Bluewaters, my friends and I insisted on visiting this place, as we love to explore new tourist places. We booked our tickets from the official website of Ain Dubai, and we chose Premium Prime Time, which is the most expensive as it is the sunset time ride. Although it is considered pricey, we believe that as this is a once in a lifetime experience, we should experience it thoroughly. This decision allowed us to view Dubai at its best time as we saw the sun slowly go down, and we were able to see Dubai at two different times. Also, we could view  Dubai Marina, JBR, Burj Al Arab, and Palm Island from the top. The entire experience, we couldn’t stop taking pictures as the views kept changing. The cabin is characterised by its large area, so all passengers are allowed to freely sit or stand and move smoothly in the cabin to enjoy the views from every angle. Our entire journey took approximately forty minutes. We recommend everyone visit this magnificent work of art as it was a genuinely breathtaking experience!

Alici – Seafood the Italian Way

When my friends and I were looking for a restaurant to choose from the various options available at Bluewaters, we decided to go with Alici. Alici in Dubai serves the freshest fish and seafood in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere so that you can enjoy seafood the Italian way.

Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were overwhelmed with the relaxing ambiance. The lighting in the room was considered dim, so it added a very calming aura. The restaurant serves up the best flavours from the South of Italy on every plate with such an overwhelming sense of taste, and their service was so friendly. Moreover, the food was incredible, from the starters to the dessert. For starters, we got the Burrata and fried calamari, which was our favourite; the Burrata was rich in flavour, and the calamari was just delightful, perfectly crispy, and seasoned well. We got the Alici pizza, and mushroom risotto as our main course, and both were definite must-tries! Lastly, we had to get tiramisu for dessert since it is an Italian special! We would highly recommend visiting Alici as it is the perfect tranquil location to dine in Bluewaters.

If you need more information you can visit their website here. You can also order from the restaurant and have it delivered to your home with the Deliveroo app.
