Despite its lack of wildlife, rocks, and crabs, Al Reem Island still offers plenty of activities and attractions, that make it the perfect destination for a picnic. The island itself is quite small, but it is full of green vegetation and has several beaches, making it the perfect spot for a picnic.
If you arrive early in the morning, you will have the beach to yourself. The place will be calm and relaxing, and the city skyline views will be amazing. Take a picnic on the beach, and enjoy a delicious lunch while admiring the scenery. Al Reem Island Central Park, also has some great facilities, including a beach club, a pool, and a restaurant. After lunch, you can go for a walk in the park, and then have some hot chocolate. The atmosphere will be lively, and the service will be excellent. You can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the beach and soaking up the sun.

UAE Flower farm
UAE Flower Farm AD, is one of the newly built and underrated best picnic spots in Abu Dhabi, that has no entry fee. The picnic area is very beautiful, with colorful bright and fresh flowers, surrounding your table. You can pick flowers for 3 AED per flower, and create your own flowery bouquet. It is a wonderful place to take aesthetic and “instragammable” pictures of your picnic in the sun, and is especially breath-taking during the golden hour.
While you are free to pack your own picnic, it is not recommended to bring food out in the picnic area, as it attracts a lot of flies, that are hovering around the flowers. Just drinks bode well for my visit. However, flies are possibly the only inconvenience one can face here. Its calm and soothing atmosphere in the middle of various well-grown flowers, makes it the best picnic spot near me.
My friends and I, were extremely excited to try this place out, and it did not disappoint. The staff is very well-spoken, and kind and puts in a lot of effort, in making you feel comfortable and delighted. Even though it is a shame that it is not that well-known picnic spot yet, I was still glad that we had our privacy at our spot, and we were able to take our time. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I highly recommend this as a leisure activity to do with your friends, families, and partners.

ALMAYA ISLAND
You can have a wonderful picnic experience on Maya Island, which is only a 10-minute boat ride from the dock at Al Ras Al Akhdar. Although foods and drinks are provided in the island, and preferred for environmental conservation, you can make the decision to bring your own food, flowers, and picnic setup, if you want to have a uniquely personal experience.
It is possible to book a private boat to transport you to the island. As you approach the island, you may experience a feeling of excitement and eagerness, as you see small groups of people engaged in various activities such as playing or relaxing on the island’s sandy beaches. As you get closer, you will be able to see the shiny sand, colorful hats, and the beautiful blue sea. You may be left amazed and describe the experience as “absolutely breathtaking.”
With the sound of waves lapping against the coast in the background, the ambiance on the island is an incredibly serene and beautiful. A troll along the beach exposes some collection souvenirs, such as shells while enjoying the crystal- clear waters and having time observe everything the horizon getting orange in the evening.
Al Maya Island is one of the nicest picnic experiences you will ever experience. It will provide you with the ideal respite from the stress of daily life, and gave you the chance to forge deep connections with nature. From personal experience, I’m eager to return and relive the experience and encourage everyone to spare a day for the island.
