Al Ghadeer craft store aims to empower women through sustainable Emirati handicrafts since 2006, and to authorise more than 200 ladies from all the Emirates. Furthermore, they aim to always reflect the Emirati heritage and culture in their products by telling the story behind the product itself.

Al Ghadeer craft store provides a workshop that opens from 8-4. There are four workshops there, and they include a Telli workshop, a Khoos workshop, a Sadu workshop, and a clay workshop. The House of Artisans, craft heritage is located in Qasar Al hosn, Abu Dhabi. The House of Artisans offers a wide range of workshops, Al-Sadu, Khoos, Talli, and Seacraft.
If you are looking for a great craft store in Abu Dhabi and its craft or searching for an “art and craft supply store near me”, the House of Artisans is the public-free House of home craft store I visited recently. I went to see the local craft, forefather’s craftsmanship, and traditional arts —the places where a local artist exhibits the work and arts of local people. The art ranges from waved handicrafts in different forms for the lovers who go into details.
When I visited the Artisans House, the local guide told us about the local craft such as Al Sadu, Khoos, Talli, and Seacraft. Al Sadu is the traditional method of weaving the tents, saddles, and vibrant straps by the bedouin women of the United Arab Emirates. In Addition, Khoos involve braiding and weaving date palm leaves to make an object; sometimes, they are colored to make it more appealing and beauteous while the Talli is a decorative piece of embroidery practised by the women of the Emirates. In Addition, the guide further told us about seacraft, an ancient skill passed by our forefathers where they make pearling and fishing boats.
I loved the cultural details and depths and called it an essential visiting place to witness the beauty of the UAE and its home craft store.

After visiting the craft store and seeing what they have to offer, I really appreciated that they sell a range of arts and crafts supplies from standard to high quality brands according to the customers’ budget and needs of quality.They sell the arts and craft supplies in sets as well as individually packaged which is a positive as it makes the buying process easier instead of having limited options of buying a whole set for specific products.Other than that,the store itself was really organised as each aisle was labelled and grouped into the designated sections regarding the category of craft supplies people would need.The products are sectioned according to brands as well as size of the product,in regard to it being a large store it did not feel messy or crowded because of the employees organisation.The staff were very welcoming and helpful to me by asking me what I need then directing me to the aisle that contains what I was looking for.

The Best experience to learn to make your own pottery crafts.
If you are looking for a place to begin learning about pottery craft, then I’ve got the perfect place for you. Studio clay is a place that offers workshops and comprehensive classes for beginners on pottery craft art. Studio clay offers two workshops in pottery craft, wheel throwing and hand building for both kids and adults.
I visited Studio clay and booked the hand-building session. I was very surprised that the owner and founder herself was the one who supervised on us. From the beginning till the very end I had the best time of my life making handmade art and crafts from clay, and I didn’t even notice the time passing by. I really enjoyed my experience at studio clay for making pottery craft.
Wheel throwing workshop.
The wheel throwing workshop is the perfect workshop if you are a beginner. This session is an excellent introduction to wheel throwing you will be able to learn the fundamental of creating cups, bowls,and cylinders. Along with wedging, centering, and how to pull up the walls of the clay. There is no need to worry the workers will help you. They are willing to work with you in your own pace so you can get better in wheel throwing. For the adults who are 13yo and above 3 hours will cost you 350 AED and you get 1Kg of clay. And for the kids from 6 till 12 they have 2 hours for 200 AED with 500g of clay.
Hand-building workshop
The second workshop is hand building. This is a very light workshop compared to the wheel throwing, you will learn pinching, coiling and slab the hand-building techniques in this session. Same as the wheel throwing this workshop is also for both kids and adults. The prices for the kids from 6 till 12 is 190 AED for 2 hours including 500g of clay. And the price for the adults 13 and older is 320 AED for 3 hours along with 1kg of clay. And if you want additional clay it will be 25 AED per 500g.
